The camera performs high quality image capturing with the help of integrated illumination; while the processing unit executes license plate recognition, data storage, automatic self-control and allows remote access.

SpeedCAM combines ANPR/LPR camera, IR illumination, 3G modem and IP communication capability, GPS, data processing and Doppler speed radar in a single IP67 rated unit. The device uses CARMEN® FreeFlow engine, continuous accurate speed detection, automatic time synchronization (NTP) and image capturing in 30 FPS in any weather and light condition. Its built-in motion detection with extensive masking option, ONVIF compatibility, JPEG image / MJPEG stream output and internal image buffer, field-programmable gate array processor (FPGA) and H.264 compression can provide up to ten times smaller video stream, which leads to less network traffic, and smaller storage space.
